Warner Bros/DC will release Matt Reeves‘ The Batman will be held back from its original June 25th, 2021 release date to October 1st, 2021. The Batman will be taking the same slot as the highly successful Joker, only two years ago. Unfortunately for Batman fans, they’ll have to wait four more months before they see the newest take on the Batman character. Robert Pattinson’s take on the legendary character will focus on a Batman who doesn’t have his fancy hi-tech tools, but, instead, uses crossbows and a tricked out motorcycle.
The Batman will see Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon while Zoe Kravitz (Not Halle Berry) plays Catwoman and Andy Serkis plays Alfred Pennyworth. The two confirmed villains are the Riddler (played by Paul Dano) and the Penguin (John Turturro), two very unused villains from Batman’s catalog. Two actors that haven’t had their roles in the story announced are Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard.
My hope is that we’ll see the first Robin, Dick Grayson, who would later change into one of my favorite DC characters, Nightwing.
