It sounds like Jason Voorhees is pretty hard to find if you’re a fan of streaming video for consuming your favorite horror content. The slasher icon doesn’t lurk around Netflix or Amazon Prime, but he’s reportedly making his way to Shudder in April.
Starting April 1, 2020(no, it’s not a joke), the first eight films in the Friday the 13th franchise will be available on the horror-exclusive streaming service. With his Shudder takeover and the recent rumors of a Blu-Ray 12-film collection, it looks like Jason is celebrating his 40th anniversary in the best way possible, and that means plenty of blood-and-guts goodness for us!
You can also dig through some great documentaries courtesy of Shudder, like Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th. Why should the fun and terror stop with the movies?
And don’t forget that new members to Shudder can use the code SHUTIN for a 30-day free trial. You may be self-isolating, but Shudder won’t leave you feeling lonely for long.
