Becky, a home invasion thriller, arrived June 5th, 2020 on digital, on-demand, and in drive-in theatres (which millennials probably never heard of unless they’ve read The Outsiders). This bloody and violent trailed already explains the “R” rating that the film received (also because of grisly images and language). King of Queens’ actor/comedian Kevin James played a villain for the first time in Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott’s (Cooties) thriller and will be going head-to-head with Lulu Wilson from Annabelle: Creation (Another horror movie that I won’t be watching; Adding this and the entire universe to the “Hell no, not watching this” list). Becky focuses on a typical rebellious 14-year-old (Wilson) and her father as they attempt to reconnect after her mother’s death, staying at a lake house. Unfortunately, the sweet trip turned for the worst when a group of convicts, led by Dominick (James), invade the lake house. Unlike many older slashers, Beck won’t sit back and allow Dominick and his crew to kill them. Similar to You’re Next, this female protagonist will “take matters into her own hands.”
